On Leines in Steigen find Stortinden at 827 meters. The top is a pretty sight when lying on Brennviksanden and sunbathing.
The tour starts at fantastic Brennviksanden. Follow the beach south until you come into the forest and to Heimstelva. You can also follow a trail on the east side of the beach. Inside the forest you follow a clearly visible trail. Soon after Heimstelva there is a path to the left and up to Heimeslvvatnet. The trail is steep and highly visible throughout the trip until you are at the lake.
You come as a plateau. Go back against Stortinden and scree. There is no trail here. Upward scree is the red marks on the rocks and the rock that you should follow to the top. You must be expected to climb slightly in the scree.
Up on the top you can enjoy views Brennviksanden, Burn Sund, Vestfjord and Lofoten. You'll also see Værøy and Rost in the distance.
