A trip to Tuva (477 m.) Provides an impressive view of the peculiar combination of sea, islands and steep mountains that are so typical of Lofoten. The trip takes about 4 hours trip / return and runs along an occasionally steep path - but this is still a trip for the whole family.
In the winter many tour with skis on his back and stand down. Tuva is in fact a popular freeride area, and in 2010 Tuva used as qualification for freeride competition Lofoten Freeride.
Whether you choose to go on foot all the way or take your skis on his back, the Red Cross hut in Knut Marka a good starting point. Then follow the road north and turn left on a path where the road turns. Follow the path around 500 meters, and then take a right towards Grønås lake. Follow the northwestern side of the water and then up towards Tuva lake. So go the continental shelf to the left towards the top of Tuva, where a spectacular view awaits you.
