Start from the parking lot at Sørvågvatnets west side. Follow lysløypa against Studalsvatnet. Good and clear path on the north side of the lake in the direction Tridalsvatnet (see signs), rapid climb up cairned trail high up on the east side of Tridalsvatnet. Follow the cairns and signs on the Djupfjord Heia toward the cabin.

If you want to enter or stay in the lodge know that Munkebu is locked and can not be opened with regular DNT key. Key to retrieve in Moskenes Office of Reine in the summer, and at City Hall at Reine in winter, on production of a valid DNT membership card. At the same time overnight advances paid for all guests in the party.

The lodge is approximately 47 square meters with 15 beds, hallway, combined living room and kitchen. In addition, there are separate outbuildings with woodshed and an outhouse. The cabin is equipped with a wood stove, gas kitchen and tableware. It is not equipped with food. Sleeping bag or sheets are required. The use of the cabin is based on common rules in accordance with the Norwegian Trekking Association. Settlement will be made in cash or through postal money order. Guy with sense - all at must be flown up by helicopter. The cottage is a good starting point for trips to nearby peaks, for example. Munkan or Hermannsdalstinden.Type:
